Frequently Asked Questions

Are you suffering from lower back pain and in need of pain management help? Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers various modalities, which are effective for treating back pain. These modalities usually involve herbalism and/or acupuncture.

Back pain is often only a symptom of internal imbalance. For instance, it may be a symptom of kidney deficiency, Chi or Yang deficiency, cold accumulation, or even meridian obstruction. Such internal issues are usually treated with herbalism.

Acupuncture also has some similar effects on treating these issues. It reduces pain from these issues. Also, it promotes the healing process by improving the flow of blood and energy (Chi) to the affected area. During an acupuncture session, Endorphins releases, reducing stress. Experiencing immediate pain relief after the treatment is quite common.

At Annie Tiang TCM, we believe in taking a holistic approach using acupuncture and herbalism when it comes to the treatment of lower back pain.
